How to apply for a Starfish Leaders grant?

You can by sending an email to info@starfishleaders.org and you will be contacted within a day of your email.

What are the requirements to receive a grant?

The grant recipient identifies as Black, Indigenous or other Person of Color and has a financial need to be supported to attend the training.  Please see “How It Works Section” from the home page.

Who receives the grant funds?

Two weeks before your training starts, Starfish Leaders will confirm with you that you are attending the training and then will send the grant amount as a payment, in your name, directly to the training organization.

How much are the grants? 

The grants range from $500 - $1,000 depending on the availability of Starfish Leaders funds.

What if I need more support than the grant alone?

Let us know and Starfish Leaders can support you in finding other resources for your needs.

What happens to the grant if I have to change the date of my training? 

You will remain on the Starfish Leaders list for grants. Once you have committed to a training date, let Starfish Leaders know and we will set up a time to talk about your needs at that time.
