30 got to go

The idea and dream for Starfish Leaders started in 2020. As we were setting up the nonprofit in 2021, we could not wait to support Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC) to attend a transformation leadership training.

With urgency, we created a GoFundMe and reached out to friends and family to support our dream. The result? We raised over $16,00 and supported 20 people to attend a training.

Starfish Leaders, the nonprofit, officially came into being in 2022. Since then we have given grants to 10 people for a total of $6,900. And there are 8 people currently looking for support for future trainings in 2023.
